Investor and financial public relations advice for the media sector
Tavistock has a considerable track record of advising traditional print, broadcast and digital media companies on corporate transactions large and small. Its team has a deep knowledge of the issues facing those operating in the sector and has worked to support management teams and media owners through high profile special situations.
Our knowledge is drawn from a team with diverse backgrounds including former in-house heads of communications, financial analysts, accountants, and science and technology graduates. This latter skill helps us bring together the combined knowledge across our TMT practice to the benefit of our clients, particularly as they embrace an ever more digital society.
The experience and knowledge of our team, built up over decades, gives Tavistock the ability not just to deliver outstanding results, but also to bring this experience, knowledge and our contacts to bear for developing companies and companies which invest in the space.
We have advised and executed Corporate Affairs and Capital Market Communications initiatives for household name broadcasters, content owners, newspaper groups and radio stations. We have worked with digital advertising and media networks as well as premium outdoor advertisers and the private equity firms which back them. And we have acted for industry players as they dispose of high quality media assets to focus on core activities.
Whilst our work on special situations, crises and corporate transactions may be the most high profile, we work in partnership with most of our clients on a day-to-day basis. As well as helping them plan ahead and tackle issues, we provide support to boards and in-house teams with their general communications, corporate positioning, regulatory obligations and financial calendar management. We are a committed long term partner to those in the media industry, in the UK and across the world.
“Words, once they are printed, tend to have a life of their own.”
