As a Director of Tavistock, Lulu has over 18 years experience within financial and corporate communications and in addition to an unrivalled knowledge of the telecoms sector has extensive experience advising both smaller companies and businesses in the retail and leisure industries. Her transaction experience includes all of Vodafone’s acquisitions and disposals and her involvement in Vodafone’s bid for Mannesmann, the largest contested takeover bid in history, led to her being named as the leading European M&A PR adviser of 2000 by MergerMarkets. Lulu started her career as a trainee accountant with Binder Hamlyn, subsequently joining WI Carr as a smaller companies analyst. Lulu graduated from Exeter University with an honours degree in Economic and Social Statistics.
Jeremy has thirty years experience in the communications industry during which time he has been closely involved with both the financial and property sectors. In 1981 he was a founding director and subsequently chief executive of City & Commercial Communications, where he worked with a wide variety of organisations advising them through mergers, acquisitions, flotations and privatisations. In 1991, in collaboration with a number of colleagues he formed Tavistock Communications. As Chairman of Tavistock, Jeremy advises clients involved in commercial and residential construction, development and investment, agency and consulting, public sector and trade bodies, private equity, funds and fund management.
Paul specialises in professional services, property and business-to-business. A former journalist covering news, business and local government affairs, he has advised clients ranging from accountants, lawyers and management consultants to property investment and development companies, and corporate turnaround specialists. He has implemented crisis management programmes and co-ordinated national and international media campaigns. He has written and produced newsletters and corporate brochures and undertaken client media training programmes. Paul is a founder of Tavistock and a member of the Professional Services Marketing Group. He has a BA (Open University) and a Diploma in European Studies.
Fleur
provides strategic corporate communications counsel across sectors
including banking, financial services, real estate and renewable
energy. Since joining the communications industry Fleur has built
successful corporate reputation and investor relations campaigns to
raise profiles for well-established investment companies, re-branded
entities and launched new ventures. She specialises in investment,
with clients amongst mainstream fund management, wealth management
and alternative investment industries. In addition, Fleur has
extensive relationships with the international investment, wealth
management and environmental journalists.
Simon entered the communications industry following a career in investment markets, initially as an analyst and fund manager and then as an institutional equity salesman in both London and Hong Kong. After co-founding Hudson Sandler Limited in 1986, Simon spent seven years as Head of Corporate communications at FTSE250 companies. In 1999, he joined the investor relations consultancy City Insights, which was acquired by Tavistock in 2003. Simon has experience across a very broad range of sectors and specialises in advising companies within the Financial Services, Real Estate and Natural Resources sectors. He is a graduate of the London School of Economics and a member of the Investor Relations Society.
Baron focuses on the real estate sector covering financial, corporate and project public relations for a wide range of clients. Having been a property and financial journalist at both Estates Times and The Times (where he was Property Correspondent), his real estate experience stretches back over 30 years. Over the past two decades he has advised a large number of well known and established property companies both on day-to-day corporate/financial PR activities and mergers and acquisitions. In addition to traditional real estate he has been increasingly involved in the leisure and hotel sectors as well as fund management.
Matt
began his career in public relations at a specialist financial PR
agency and has since worked with companies listed on the FTSE100,
NYSE, NASDAQ and AIM. He has also advised privately owned businesses
through trade sale and IPO, having acted on more than 20 stock
market listings. Matt works principally within the Financial
Services, Media and Telecoms industries. He has extensive
relationships within the media and investment community and
significant experience of advising both domestic and international
companies.
Axel began his career at Arthur Andersen in tax and oil consultancy roles. In 1993, he joined Robert Fleming (now part of JP Morgan) where he spent five years in broking and corporate finance. He subsequently moved in-house to British-Borneo Oil & Gas where he had a business development and planning role before joining the board of City Insights in 2000. Axel specialises in the Natural Resources and Technology sectors and is a graduate of Imperial College London.
John
is Chief Executive of Tavistock Communications having joined the
firm as a graduate trainee in 1996. He led Tavistock’s expansion
into Asia and formed its partnership with First City PR
headquartered in Hong Kong. John has worked on a wide range of
communications briefs and acts as senior adviser to a number of
Tavistock’s retained clients as well as leading a number of special
situations projects. John has worked with clients operating in a
wide range of industry sectors and has extensive M&A and crisis
experience. He has a MA in Modern and Medieval Languages from
Magdalene College Cambridge and is a fluent German speaker.
