Tavistock was pleased to advise Wheaton Precious Metals (NYSE/TSX) on its successful secondary listing in London in late October 2020. At £17bn, Wheaton becomes the largest company in its sector to list on the LSE in almost a decade, as well as the largest Canadian company to ever list in London. Founded in 2004, Wheaton has grown to become one of the world’s largest precious metals streaming businesses. The LSE listing compliments its listings on NYSE and TSX.

Earlier in October 2020, Tavistock advised £4.3bn Yamana Gold (NYSE/TSX) on its secondary listing in London. Yamana Gold is one of Canada’s largest gold producers with land positions throughout the Americas, including Canada, Brazil, Chile and Argentina. Its entrance to the market is the second biggest listing by market cap ($5.58 billion / £4.3 billion) of 2020, with the company now one of the LSE’s biggest pure-play senior gold producers by revenue.

Jos Simson, CEO, commented “Yamana and Wheaton are two outstanding companies and leaders in their respective sectors. They bring European investors new opportunities to gain exposure to precious metals and are very welcome additions to the London Stock Exchange.”
